The exhibit shows how this sports hero became a legend in Quebec, a symbol in Canada and a celebrity around the world. It presents more than 90 items, more than half of which actually belonged to Maurice Richard. Among other things, you will see the last number “9” hockey jersey ever worn by Richard with the Canadiens, the hockey sticks he used to score important goals, trophies, pucks, skates, jerseys, the ring marking his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame and the original speech he delivered when he retired. Songs praising him and personal anecdotes told by his team-mates and opponents complete this portrait of the “Rocket”.
