Brandon, MB. -- Two Power Smart hockey fans will get a chance to attend the Championship game at the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup thanks to Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware.
From April 1-30, fans can help Bring Home the Cup by purchasing Energy Star products at Home Hardware stores including Motion Sensor Security Lights, Solar Light Pathway Markers and LED Emergency Lights.
With each purchase, fans are entered to win two tickets to the big game on May 23 plus a two-night stay at a hotel and $200 in spending money.

The 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup will take place in Brandon from May 14-23. In addition to this particular retail promotion, Manitoba Hydro will sponsor the Hockey Hall of Fame, which will be on display throughout the 11-day Championship inside the UCT Pavillion. Admission will be free.
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE BRING HOME THE CUP CONTEST (April 1, 2010 to April 30, 2010)
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter this Bring Home the Cup Contest (the “Contest”), a person must be a legal resident of the Province of Manitoba and must be of a legal age of at least eighteen (18) years old as of April 1, 2010. No purchase required. Employees of, and immediate family member(s) of any employee of, and persons domiciled with any employee of, Manitoba Hydro or Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores , or any subsidiaries, divisions, or promotional or advertising agencies, or administrators, of any of the foregoing, are not eligible to enter.
By entering the Contest, each entrant automatically agrees to accept and comply with these rules and regulations. All entries become the property of Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores. By entering the Contest, each entrant grants his/her consent and agrees for Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores, and officers, directors, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents, of the foregoing, to obtain, use, reproduce, derivative, broadcast, and publish, all information and materials provided in connection with his/her entry for advertising, promotion, publicity, news / information reporting, purposes. PRIZE: For the Contest, one prize consisting of two tickets to the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup Championship Final game on Sunday, May 23, 2010, $200 spending money, and accommodation for two persons in Brandon, Manitoba, for two nights either May 21, 22 or 23rd 2010 may be awarded to one winner. The nature, selection, size, content, timing, location, value, medium, format, and availability, of any prize, in whole or in part, will be determined, and may be changed or cancelled, by Manitoba Hydro or Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores in their sole discretion and authority at any time.
TO ENTER: Simply deposit fully and accurately completed original entry forms into designated entry boxes at Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores locations throughout Manitoba during the Contest Period. Each entry must include the entrant’s name, address, phone number and any and all material and/or information as required for the Contest, and must not be combined with any entry for any other contest(s) or event(s).
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest commences, and complete entries will begin to be accepted, on April 1, 2010. Entries must be received before end of business day (CT) April 30th, 2010, to qualify for the prize draw (the “Contest Period”).
PRIZE DRAWS: A draw will be conducted at Manitoba Hydro, 235-10th Street, Brandon, on May 4th , 2010, for the Contest from all deposited entries received during the Contest Period. For each prize, the first complete, correct, and eligible, entry drawn will determine the potential winner eligible for the prize. Any entry that is incomplete or that contains any incorrect information or material, at Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores sole determination, will not be eligible for any prize. The odds of winning the prize will depend in part upon the total number of entries received during the Contest Period as determined by and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores. Manitoba Hydro will attempt to contact the potential winner(s) by phone after the time of determination of the potential winner(s). In order to be declared a winner, a potential winner must: (i) provide proof of identification upon request; (ii) correctly answer a mathematical skill testing question; (iii) sign a declaration and release form stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these official rules and regulations, grants all consents required as contemplated in these rules and regulations, authorizes Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Stores , and officers, directors, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents, of the foregoing, to obtain, use, copy, reproduce, derivative, broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness and voice, in connection with any advertising, promotion, publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment, and information purposes, at no additional compensation to the potential winner, and waives any right of inspection or approval of any use to which any such information or materials may be put; and (iv) accept the prize as offered and releases Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores and officers, directors, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents, of the foregoing, from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and/or use of the prize. Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores reserve the right to, at any time by notice to the entrant(s), directly or through a designate, verify the accuracy and authenticity of any and all information and materials provided in connection with any entry, and the entrant(s) shall fully cooperate with any such verification process and fulfill all requirements. In the event that any potential winner is not eligible, cannot be contacted by Manitoba Hydro Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores, or does not comply with any requirements and/or any term or condition set contained herein, Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Stores Limited will have the right at its sole discretion to disqualify that potential winner and to determine an alternate potential winner, and Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Stores Limited will be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential winner may be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified potential winner is declared.
PRIZE(S) MUST BE ACCEPTED AS AWARDED. A prize will only be awarded directly to a winner declared by Manitoba Hydro and HH. Prize(s) will not include any travel arrangements to, from, at, and/or relating to, any event, or otherwise. Contact information and location for receiving the prize will be provided to the potential winner at the time of contact by Manitoba Hydro. The prize is not convertible to cash and may not be redeemed for cash or substituted. If a winner, after receiving a prize, becomes deemed to be ineligible, or otherwise violates any requirement herein, the winner shall immediately pay to Manitoba Hydro the value of the prize as determined by Manitoba Hydro.
NO LIABILITY. ENTRY IS SOLELY AT THE ENTRANT'S OWN RISK. MANITOBA HYDRO AND HOME HARDWARE BUILDING CENTRE AND HOME HARDWARE BUILDING STORES, AND ALL OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY ENTRY, THE CONTEST AND/OR THE PRIZE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, COMPENSATORY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER. Without limiting the generality of any of the foregoing, Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Stores Limited assume no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, stolen, delayed, damaged or destroyed entries, or otherwise failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting, or corrupting, the Contest in any manner including, without limitation, receipt of entries, entrants' ability to participate in the Contest, winner notification, or winner response to notification. Any entry that has been tampered with or altered is void.
CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION. Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, or suspend, the Contest and/or these rules and regulations at any time for any reason whatsoever. Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores reserve the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of any of these rules or regulations or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Any attempts to deliberately damage any property or goodwill or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Manitoba Hydro and Home Hardware Building Centre and Home Hardware Building Centre Stores reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
